Basketball Queensland is excited to announce that the 2021 Under 18 Boys and Girls State Championships hosting rights have been awarded to Gold Coast Basketball at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre in Carrara.

The tournament will run over five days during the January school holidays from Wednesday, 13 January till Sunday, 17 January, 2021.

“We’re proud to be able to host this great event on the Gold Coast and welcome the State’s best players to our venue” Gold Coast Basketball General Manager Joel McInnes said.

“The Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre is the biggest indoor facility in the State for watching multiple games at once, which means we can host both the boy’s and girl’s tournaments under the one roof”.

Townsville Basketball will be looking to take out the Under 18 Boys title for the 5th time in 20 years, while Southern Districts Spartans are hoping they can claim the Under 18 Girls Championship for an impressive 7th time since 2001.
